alright, so I'm starting a new band. Seriously... we have on the different instruments: me-vocals/ random instruments, matt sparks- guitar, mike graven- bass, tba- guitar (having tryout thingy next week...), stephen pedron (my little bro)- drums/ percussion musical influences starting out will be: mewithoutyou, at the drive in, locust, minor threat/ any hardcore Punk, saetia, curl up and die non musical influences- red wine, Family Guy, art and design (in the structural sense), Sega Genesis
The only problem is that we don't have a name... I don't really care at this point about names, but the other dudes in the band think that we should have one so that we can get a jump on promotion and whatnot..... give me ideas
hint: nothing with dumbass X's surrounding it like xshittinginmymouthx -nothing with The ____ in front of it like a crappy garage band -nothing dealing with death... that shit is getting old...

mewithoutyou: soft spoken indie/emo stuff at the drive in: really spastic chaotic stuff locust: coked up electro noise minor threat/any hardcore punk: well... 4 chords played repetitively, sometimes good, sometimes not, sometimes includes breakdowns. saetia: wow, this band is amazing, screamo to the extreamo. one of the founding fathers of the screamo generation curl up and die: assuming we're talking about older stuff, ridiculously heavy, breakdown fused, not so bad metalcore/metal so... why not call this band MIXED? really though, if you guys can blend the sounds of all those bands and make it sound good, i'm stoked to see it.

It'll probably be really just really fast paced, slightly chaotic, with slight fast breakdowns that serve only as bridges and transitions, not as slam dance parts... hopefully... at least that's what i've written so far

Call your band Golden Axe. One of the best Genesis' games, hands down.

Call your band Golden Axe. One of the best Genesis' games, hands down. i love that game sooooooooooo much... i alway die on the castle on the turle's back or in the city which is on the back of an eagle though... it's funny how in the game you find these things out after you complete the level... like you didn't notice walking in a city with the ground made of feathers... hmmmmmmm.... streets of rage is really good too

I like The Streets Of Rage personally. It took forever to beat that game because i would always end up killing my partners (aka Andrew). You know another good game was that NBA Jam.

Boogermen:That sounds like a 80's west coast punk band....LETS DO IT!! LOL WAIT! Is there a band called TBA. Then we could always change our name later. We would be on so many flyers. TBA, good stuff.

hmmm... so updates on this band for anyone who may care or not... so far we have a few songs. titles of songs include, Vaginal Friction, My Unused Flesh Balloon, Teenage Experiment, and we have covers of Prince Ali (from disney's Alladin) and Rock Lobster (B-52's... redid on Family Guy)
still don't have a band name exactly... Thinking about: Notoriety, Shinobi (thanks doug), Djinni, Souseiki, greek fire
any other possibilities would be helpful?

Boogermen:That sounds like a 80's west coast punk band....LETS DO IT!! LOL Nah, definitley East Coast...or maybe Midwest Zero Boys/ Necros/ Die Kruezen era hardcore punk. I have lots of good names for bands so I'm hoarding them all to myself for when I need them. I think Dudestorm would be a tight name though.,....and I'd never use it....you're welcome to it if you're into such buffoonery.
